On a recent site trip, I had the opportunity to visit Isle of Palms, SC, which was the perfect place to take a walk on the beach or dine al fresco while making sure to properly social distance and stay healthy. Located approximately 18 miles from downtown Charleston, Isle of Palms is a little piece of beach paradise.
Wild Dunes, the island’s AAA 4-star resort, has something for everyone. Guestroom options currently include the original Boardwalk Inn, a Village of one, two or three bedroom suite units, and vacation home rentals. Their newest addition, the Sweetgrass Inn, will open in late March, 2021, and will offer 153 spacious guest rooms and suites. The new Inn will also add 30,000 sf of space, including 2 ballrooms with outdoor terraces and an ocean view. The options offer a variety of layouts and price ranges.
A new spa will offer 14 tranquil treatment rooms and a state-of-the-art fitness facility, the tennis center is impressive and the Resort’s two golf courses offer challenging play.
While many sales, education and client events are still being held virtually, this is a lovely location to keep in mind for future programming.
